Annual Cultural Festival 2024: A Celebration of Nigerian Heritage
Luminary College's annual cultural festival brought together students, parents, and the wider community in a vibrant celebration of Nigerian arts and culture.
The Luminary College Annual Cultural Festival 2024 was a resounding success, drawing over 1,500 attendees including students, parents, alumni, and community leaders to our Abuja campus.
This year's theme, "Roots & Wings: Honouring Our Heritage, Embracing Our Future," inspired breathtaking performances of traditional dances from over 20 Nigerian ethnic groups, live musical performances, art exhibitions, and a traditional food fair.
The event showcased the incredible diversity of our student body, representing more than 30 ethnic groups from across Nigeria. Special guest performer Asa provided a memorable closing performance that received a standing ovation.
The festival also featured a speech by the FCT Minister of Education, who commended Luminary College for its role in promoting cultural education alongside academic excellence.
"Events like this remind us that a truly educated person understands and appreciates their culture," said Principal Dr. Okonkwo. "We are not just producing examination passers — we are producing well-rounded Nigerians."
